The position will be an addition to the Legal Department, which is Principle Power’s cross-cutting business unit that is responsible for supporting the company’s strategic direction, economic competitiveness, and business planning. The Legal team works with the executive management team, business units, and strategic partners to identify and secure contractual framework, compliance, and the best legal solutions for the different geography environments. You will work with a high-performing and dynamic team in Principle Power’s Lisboa, Portugal office that is focused on positioning Principle Power as the global leader in the floating wind sector. We are seeking a skilled and driven professional capable of delivering high-quality work in a flexible and independent manner, supporting teams across the organization, and helping our clients and partners realize successful floating wind projects around the world.
Support the Legal Team with internal focal points in all business units and Interface with customers (developers, utilities, EPC’s) developing the most suitable contracting solutions considering market context, joint objectives, and risk profile.
Liaise with all Business Units in the Company fostering and maintaining a compliance environment and culture.
Manage Contract compliance, patent, and IP portfolio status.
Negotiate and manage all NDAs.
Collaborate with Business Development team and external partners in drafting and negotiating early opportunity project agreements.
Required Professional Experience:
Demonstrated experience with international contractual frameworks.
Experience with typical contracts and issues related to infrastructure industries, such as design contracts, engineering contracts, claims management.
Comfort working independently and with interdisciplinary client teams.
Advanced knowledge and user of Microsoft Office software including Excel and Word.
Familiarity with renewable energy sector in general and the offshore wind technology will be a plus.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Fluent in spoken and written Technical and Legal English.
Detail oriented, but with the ability to see the big and broader picture.
Ability to take initiatives and responsibility for projects.
Customer-minded and collaborative, with strong interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Comfort working in a highly international and multicultural environment.
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work based in Portugal.
