Marketing and Communications Specialist

Position Type: Full-time, Fix Term Contract
Location: Lisbon, Portugal

Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree. Master’s degree a plus.

General Description

We are looking for a self-motivated all-arounder who is passionate about marketing and communications and who would shape and develop this new function within Principle Power. You will join a high-performing and dynamic team in our Lisbon office that is focused on positioning Principle Power as the global leader in the emerging floating wind sector.


As a Marketing & Communication Specialist, you will report to Public Affairs Lead and work closely with the rest of the global commercial team to define and implement a marketing and communications strategy across a range of geographies to raise the visibility of the company in Europe, US, Asia and other markets. In collaboration with our Technology and Engineering teams you will develop creative approaches to market our cutting-edge WindFloat® technology in a visual and compelling way. You will lead the strategic development of core brand ideas turned into relevant content across different channels and marketing tools and contribute internally to employee engagement across our various locations and departments.

Main Accountabilities

  • Develop and deliver creative marketing and communication strategies, plans, and approaches to help market and position our WindFloat® technology as a leading solution for floating wind projects worldwide.

  • Produce compelling audiovisual and other promotional material for marketing and business development activities, including campaign development and management of 3rd party contractors

  • Manage the company’s web and social media presence, including the planning and implement of digital and web marketing strategies based on company priorities and needs, as well as associated impact reporting

  • Ensure the company’s active presence and strategic positioning in the traditional and social media.

  • Closely monitor media coverage of the key industry developments, identify opportunities for promoting the company’s brand and reputation.

  • In collaboration with the People area, foster internal communication within the company.

  • Manage the company’s participation in-trade fairs, conferences, webinars and other key industry events

  • Deliver impactful customer events (including virtual events) combining, where relevant, visits to Principle Power’s offices and active project locations (shipyards, ports, offshore, etc.)

  • Manage the distribution of the company’s multimedia content within the company and to the external stakeholders.


Required Education: 

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Public Relations or Journalism

  • Professional training or applied experience in graphic design and/or digital marketing is a plus.


Required Professional Experience:

  •  Minimum 5 years of directly applicable professional experience.


Required Knowledge:

  • A good understanding of digital marketing and social media

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) in English

  • Practical experience with producing and managing the production of graphical, audio-visual and printed material for communication and marketing purposes

  • Demonstrated experience in implementing marketing strategies and delivering communications campaigns/actions – both in traditional and digital channels

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word;

  • Experience of delivering impactful and visually compelling presentations.

  • Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and HTML/CSS


Other requirements:

  •  Fluency in other languages (French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean) is an advantage

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Customer-minded and collaborative, with strong interpersonal skills

  • A dynamic, goal-oriented and open-minded personality who is used to work autonomously in a multicultural and international environment

  • Authorization to work in Portugal

  • Willingness to travel abroad to support responsibilities

  • Willingness to bridge the time gap between US and Europe or Europe and Asia as may be required.
