General Description
The Project Manager – Feasibility studies is part of the Project and Engineering Management group.
The work will be focused on performing project management activities on feasibility studies acquired by Business Development for future WindFloat projects in new markets around the globe and Grant Projects acquired by the Technology team..
This type of project management requires the individual to have a detailed engineering knowledge in the field of offshore energy projects. The PM will need to understand complex engineering work scopes of the project engineering teams while also interfacing with clients and contractors with heavy engineering backgrounds.
Main Accountabilities:
Oversee the management of floating offshore wind project feasibility studies or R&D projects
Delivery of contractually agreed feasibility in time, budget and to the satisfaction of the customer
Preparing the basis for future project acquisition by identifying project requirement and providing best solutions
Support new business by providing experience to the Business Development team
Supporting an open exchange between sales, feasibility study and execution projects to improve product and service of Principle Power
Interfaces:
The Project manager will have one main external and three main internal interfaces:
The Project manager will represent the project to the customer’s work package manager or institution providing the grant;
The Project manager will report to the COO.
The Project manager will be working closely with the business development team to develop a sustainable relationship with the Customer , based on the Customer’s specific needs and priorities
The Project manager will be interacting closely with the engineering teams on the delivery of the studies
Execution Phase:
Ensuring that the project is executed on time and on budget
Plan, schedule, organize resources according to project’s requirements and budget;
Interface with customers (developers, utilities, …) in cooperation with Business Development, managing expectations in order to foster a sustainable relationship;
Interface internal engineering, finance, and business development teams
Potential interface with external engineering contractor
Responsible for the on-time delivery of reports drawings and technical queries following the master Document Registers and the project schedule.
Be able to create and follow work-flow processes and manage engineering activities
Interact with legal teams to implement various contract requirements, service agreements, NDA, etc. or help in the creation of new contracts after negotiations.
Provision of regular internal and external reporting
Sales Support:
Understanding of engineering specifications and third-party reviews
Provide value adding input in Principle Power PI’s offering
Develop new project schedules and budgets with engineering teams
Develop project management documents, such as execution plans, master document registries, etc.
Continuous Improvement Processes:
Build internal quality interfaces with all Areas of the Company and with special focus in Engineering, Operations and Commercial area, leveraging collaboration, build winning proposals, and negotiate commercial contracts;
Issue and adapt processes and procedures in order to foster high quality deliverables in coordination with other areas of the company, namely those with direct interfaces with Project Management;
Being up-to-date regarding the methodology developed within the company to meet the industrialization challenges

Required Knowledge:
In depth knowledge of renewable energy/power, technology, and offshore renewables Industry.
Project Management experience. Experience with grant projects a plus
Understanding of the commercial drivers of an offshore wind farm project
Ability to work efficiently in a team environment with other staff members and the discipline lead.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to produce clear and well written Engineering Documents in English.
Ability to interface with multiple business units including engineering, strategy, business, and project development.
Other requirements:
Willingness to adjust to the requirements and opportunities of global work groups
Experience in floating system engineering or project management experience a plus
Familiarity with hydrodynamic analysis, mooring analysis, structural analysis, and mechanical systems a plus
Customer-minded and collaborative, with strong interpersonal, negotiation and leadership skills;
Familiarity with common project management, schedule and budgeting tools
Ability to read and follow and interpret both contract requirements and engineering documentation
Proficiency in scheduling multiple workflows in large engineering project,
Strong interpersonal skills and team work, Inherent leadership skills and self-motivated
Ability to cover details as well as the overall commercial picture, detail oriented.
Multiple language skills is a plus as project locations will be global.
Ability to learn in fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality results to co-workers and external partners.
